Currently, nine women work with us—three on the tools and six in office-based roles—and we firmly believe this industry offers women the opportunity to build strong, lasting careers. In honour of International Women’s Day 2025, we’re celebrating the women shaping the future of commercial painting at Dukes.

While more women are stepping into roles across the commercial painting industry, progress has been steady rather than swift. Representation is increasing in both hands-on trade work and key operational roles.

• Deanna – As Head of Finance, she manages budgets, cash flow and financial operations.
• Liza – Supports compliance across the business, keeping operations aligned with industry standards.
• Carla – Drives the sales process, coordinating client needs and business growth.
• Bec – The backbone of the operations team, she handles project administration and communication.

• Simi, Prinka & Camilla – Skilled painters working across various sites, delivering high-quality craftsmanship day in and day out.
