George Milligan

Sales Estimator

Currently an estimator at Dukes, George has over 11 years of experience in the industry and is a fully qualified painter and decorator with a background in painting and as a foreman. George loves the challenge and intricacy involved in estimating projects, especially projects in the remedial space.

Inspired by the satisfaction found in refreshing and restoring old buildings, George completed his apprenticeship in painting, plastering, spray painting and wallpapering in New Zealand before moving to Australia to further his career and work towards an estimating role.

Over the years, George has noted a positive change in the prioritisation of health and safety. He stresses the importance of planning and pricing each project safely for workers and the public in the areas surrounding the work. In the future, he wants to see an increase in health and safety, reducing the stigma around the trades.

“I love the teamwork. The Dukes team strives to ensure that all parts of our projects, from estimation to project completion, are streamlined in a way that benefits all, especially our clients.”

When he’s not at work, George enjoys travelling, soccer, NRL, gaming and spending time with family and friends.
