The Busways Pymble project involved an external repaint of Busways’ North Shore head office building to give it a fresh, professional appearance and long-lasting protection. Having successfully completed a project for Busways in the past, Dukes was engaged again to update the building’s façade with minimal impact on day-to-day operations. The scope of work covered extensive surface preparation, addressing any building repairs uncovered during the process, and then applying a full Dulux Weathershield exterior coating system. The repaint was delivered over an eight-week schedule while the facility remained in use.

We ensured the Busways office could operate normally by planning the project around the client’s working hours and needs. Dukes coordinated closely with the Busways management team to schedule painting activities at times that would least disturb staff and visitors (for instance, focusing on certain areas outside of peak office times). For accessing the upper floors of the building, our painters used rope-access techniques (industrial abseiling), which eliminated the need for large scaffolding and kept the ground level clear. Meanwhile, ground-level sections were painted using standard access equipment without impeding entryways.
